We have been receiving a significant amount of letters claiming to be from HMRC which we believe to be fraudulent. These letters have information in them demanding immediate payment for VAT, MGD, PAYE and Self Assessment Tax Returns for the recipient of the letter.
If you receive a letter from HMRC asking for your bank details or immediate payment, please consult us first! Especially do not send them any bank details- HMRC will already have these on record, so this is an immediate ‘red flag’ in recognising a potential fraud.
Give us a call, scan over or send any correspondence to us in the post which you think might be a scam so that we can check its legitimacy and save you falling into a fraudulent trap.
